“ Well, it is certainly quite a drive from St George’s. However the drive is definitely worth it. You eventually arrive at an idyllic home looking out on the sea surrounded by a beautiful garden. The garden that grows so much of the ingredients for your delicious meal. Fish from local fishermen, wine and a wonderful array of gin choices. Ceviche and tuna tartare must register as some of the best I’ve had - and definitely the best I had in Grenada as was the fish that followed. Premium cooking and splendid hospitality- a night to remember. Make the trip it is worth every kilometre ”

“ Armadillo never disappoints. A true treat for all the senses. The food alone is worth the trip, but when combined with the charm and serenity of the space, the experience becomes something special. Armadillo is dedicated to sourcing ingredients as locally as possible, and Chef Bernie can tell you exactly where each ingredient came from — sometimes even from the garden just a few steps away. My favorite dish on this visit was the lobster risotto, though honestly, there are no bad choices on the menu. We also tried three desserts, including their signature lime pie, and loved every one. As a die-hard fan of coffee and Grenada chocolate, I have to say the affogato with Crayfish Bay Organic Chocolate might have stolen the show for me. The quaint setting provided the perfect backdrop for our meal, with the sound of crashing waves and a lush garden surrounding the patio. Tips for visiting: Reservations should be made in advance, and you’ll need to pre-select your menu choices. It is cash only. Give yourself plenty of time to fully enjoy the experience — I always find it hard to leave, but I always leave completely satisfied. Can’t wait to return. ”

“ We ate dinner at Armadillo on January 4, 2025. We walked to and from dinner, starting at our Airbnb, Almost Paradise. We ordered tomato soup and ceviche as starters and lobster and tuna as main dishes. We shared the mango sorbet and the pineapple vanilla ice cream with crumbles. Both amazing desserts. My son also ordered thyme tea, which he seemed to like. The location and chef are Amazing. The dinner was absolutely gourmet from start to finish. We enjoyed getting to know the history of the owners in Sauteurs. 5 stars. ”

“ We actually stayed up the road but went for dinner. I had found Armadillo on Google and was intrigued by their enticing menu and great reviews, so we asked our hostess at Almost Paradise Cottages (also highly recommend) if we should go. She responded with a resounding YES! We stopped by to meet Andrea and see about availability. She was booked for the next two nights, luckily we were in town for a while and were able to get a spot at her table. Call or email ahead of time if you are on a tighter schedule so you can be sure to eat here during your stay in Sauteurs. It is AMAZING. She asks you to order ahead of time so they can be prepared, it is basically like going over to a friends house for dinner, not your typical "restaurant" experience, which we LOVED. Intimate dining table that seats 8-10, we were lucky and had the place to ourselves! Beautiful presentation, absolutely delicious, creative and fresh. High quality without being pretentious in any way. Definitely give Andrea a call if you want some of the best food on the island. ”

“ We ate at Armadillo one night whilst staying at a nearby hotel. The food was the best we experienced, whilst staying in the north of Grenada. Truly delicious! My wife and I are both vegan, so we had lentil soup to start and a lentil curry with falafels as main. There were so many flavours, the dishes were very unique. For dessert we had a vodka mango sorbet. The sorbet was so smooth, it almost felt like you were eating ice cream. So refreshing! Would highly recommend, if you're staying in the north and want a delicious vegan meal! ”

“ Excellent food and very likely the best on the island. Highlights were the lobster (never had this so tender, cooked to absolute perfection), tuna (served with a wasabi cream), okra (included in a mixed vegetable dish), key lime pie and also some plantain (served crispy, warm and thin with a mango chutney, as an appetiser). One last shout out for the lemongrass and ginger tea, served chilled, which we loved). Excellent all round. Price very reasonable. A ‘must go’ for anyone serious about food and in Grenada. ”
